Endress Hauser Group's acquisition of IMKO Micromodultechnik GmbH, an innovative manufacturer of moisture measurement systems, further completes the quality parameter measurement product line. IMKO will remain headquartered in Ettlingen, Germany; its 19 employees will also remain.
"The moisture measurement technology developed by IMKO can measure other key quality parameters and is a powerful supplement to our existing process instruments." Dr. Andreas Mayr, general manager of Endress Hauser GmbH Co KG, said the new company would further refine the product portfolio. IMKO system uses the time domain reflectometry (TDR) technique based on the radar time travel principle for moisture measurement. The dielectric constant information of the medium can be obtained directly, and the dielectric constant is directly related to the moisture in the medium.
