Universal volumetric flow measurement of gases, steam and liquids. Thanks to the built-in temperature measurement and the reading of an external pressure value (Prowirl 73), the mass flow of steam, water (in accordance with the IAPWS-IF97 ASME standard), natural gas (in accordance with the AGA NX-19 / AGA8-DC92 detailed method / AGA8 Gross Method 1 / SGERG-88 standard), compressed air, other gases and liquids can be calculated.
Benefits
The Prowirl sensor family has passed more than 200,000 tests and verifications and offers the following advantages:
• High vibration resistance, resistance to temperature shocks, suitable for contaminated fluids, resistance to water hammer
• Maintenance-free, no moving parts, no zero-point drift (“lifetime” calibration)
• Software-based initial setup saves time and operating costs
Extended applications:
• A single instrument measures the mass flow of saturated steam or liquids
• Built-in flow computer calculates the mass flow based on the measured volumetric flow and temperature values
• External pressure input for measuring superheated steam and gases
• External temperature input for heat exchange measurement
Application
• Fluid temperature range: –200 ... +400 °C (–328 ... +752 °F)
• Pressure ratings up to PN 250 / Class 1500
• The sensor features an integrated reducer, with selectable one-stage reduction (type R) or two-stage reduction (type S)
• Optional dual-sensor flowmeter (Dualsens type) for redundant measurement, with two sensors and two sets of electronics
